I've just completed my six week Empower course and feel a lot more motivated to reach my target goal. Although I haven't lost much weight I feel better in myself and in a more positive mindset which should help me to push myself further.

We are Énergie Ladies Fitness Club in Southampton. We are part of the Énergie group, who have been operating fitness clubs since 2003 and now have over 80 clubs in the UK making us the third largest fitness club operator.

Motorcise Equipment!
Well here it is ladies, 10 amazing armchair exercise machines designed by fitness experts with the help and guidance of doctors, physiotherapists and sports therapists for ladies over 40, overweight, or younger ladies who don't have the time or maybe the inclination to attend a conventional gym. This exercise takes just half an hour of your time and you will have achieved a full body workout. Every muscle and joint in your body will have been exercised and no waiting for equipment or feeling inhibited by lycra leotards or designer sweatbands! Some of our elderly members or members who have recently undergone surgery, simply sit on and let the machines exercise them, gently manipulating tired, stiff muscles and joints to aid their mobility. The exercise will tone, firm, and help you lose weight while shaping you up and helping to reduce the risk of stroke, thrombosis, heart disease and osteoporosis. It will also help to lower blood pressure, build strength in muscles and joints, aid sleep patterns and increase energy levels.

The reason for the boost in kettlebell training it that it gets back to basic training that requires functional, whole body fitness. Kettlebells focus on whole-body conditioning because lifting and controlling a kettlebell forces the entire body, and specifically the core, to contract as a group, building both strength and stability at the same time. Kettlebell workouts engage multiple muscle groups at once. In this way, they are a great option for getting a whole body workout in a short time.

Powerbags are a totally functional 'use anywhere' soft to touch weight system. In essence Powerbag training unlike traditional weight training equipment utilizes the movement and instability within the system itself to create an element of unpredictability during lifting. This design feature forces the stabilizing muscles to accommodate to shifts in weight during the course of the movement. This helps to make Powerbag based training more effective than many training approaches towards improving performance in real world situations be they sporting or otherwise. We know the effects of training are fairly specific to the movements trained, and where outside of a gym do you lift a perfectly balanced piece of apparatus by its centre of balance?
